Phil Watson C Ped (c), COFS

Phil Watson started working in the field of custom–made footwear in 1973.  He attended the Pedorthic Program in 1981 and 1982 at Ballstate University.  After completion of the program he spent three years teaching, designing, and implementing a number of shoe projects in southern Africa. 

In 1988, Phil Watson was accredited with the designation of Certified Orthopedic Footwear Specialist  (COFS) in the designing and making of custom-made orthopedic footwear.  He is registered with the College of Pedorthics of Canada as a COFS as well as C Ped (c).

 

Ernest Porthouse C Ped Tech (c), C Ped (c)

As a Certified Canadian Pedorthist, Ernie has extensive knowledge regarding the biomechanics of the lower extremity. This clinical designation allows him to assess alignment/range of motion issues, and their effect on figure skating performance. He consults regularly with many skate & blade manufacturers, and is considered a leading expert on the interface of body and skate. Ernie was chosen as the Chair of skate technical services for the U.S. National Championships '06 in St. Louis.

 

Tom Elliott C Ped Tech (c), C Ped (c)

Tom is a graduate of McMaster University’s Kinesiology Program and has been with Ambulatory Footwear since May 2003. Tom is a designated C Ped Tech and C Ped (C) with the College of Pedorthics of Canada.

In addition to his contribution to the clinical team in Dundas, Tom also conducts weekly clinic at the Gane Yohs Health Centre in Ohsweken.
